TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The tournament is to follow a group stage format 

Saturday: 

4 groups of 4 - 3 group games decide top 8 and bottom 8 

 Quarter Finals: Play for 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16

Sunday: 

Semi Finals and then finals decided by the previous day matches.

• Games Begin at 9.30 on Saturday, 9 on sunday

• Games are 40 minutes long with 2 minute half time

• 10 mins between games

• Each team has 1 timeout per game 

• All teams have shot clock allocations that they must attend, some are only added once games have been decided in the day

• Time is added on for a timeout and halftime at the end of the game (timetable allows 45 min per game and 10 mins to warm up)

• All Refs have their own timing 

• On the sunday, games will be full court sized

Remember to bring student ID cards for each player – players will not be permitted to play them. 

Please bring the match forms and registration forms which will be emailed to you at least a week before the day of the tournament.

TIMETABLE 

4 games on saturday, 2 games on sunday 

- 09:00 am – Arrival and registration

- 09:10am – Captain and coaches briefing

- 09:20am – Ref meeting and general warm up

- 09:30 am – Games begin

- 16:30 – Games end

- 16:50 – Remove equipment, tidy and leave facility

Sunday: 

• 8.30 arrive

• 9.00 Games start 

• 16.15 games end

• 16.30 tidy up

• 16.40 presentation

More detailed fixtures will be sent out closer to the time of the tournament
