Wheelchair Entry Information

Entries Open: Tuesday 28 January 2025

Entry Closing Date: Tuesday 11 March 2025

Insitution Administrator Approval Deadline: Thursday 13 March 2025 (Institution Administrators have 48 hours after the student/competitor deadline to approve entries)

Entry Fee: £25

This competition will NOT operate a staged entry process. As such, please ensure all entries are submitted through ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Play prior to the closing date listed above.

Please Note: On ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Play this will show as a late entry window, this does not affect the price of the entry fee, please just enter as normal through this window.

Guest Entries

If you have entered as a guest and under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to compete.

Eligibility

The Wheelchair event is open to individuals with a disability, however, you don't need a formal classification or to provide any details about your disability to compete. It is expected that you compete in your own sports wheelchair.

Fines for Withdrawals (Wheelchair Tennis)

  • Withdrawal after 5pm on Friday 14 March: £20
  • Withdrawal after 3pm on Thursday 20 March: £50
  • No shows on the day of the applicable event: £75
  • If you withdraw after the 11 March, but prior to the 14 March you will still be charged the entry fee.

To apply for the competition all eligible competitors must follow these steps:

  1. Competitor to apply to the event on ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Play (Instructions on how to do this can be found )
  2. Institution administrator approves entry (Instructions on how to do this can be found )
  3. ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list

Any data will be handled in accordance with ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Privacy Policy.

Anyone wishing to take photos or video at this event must complete the ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Media Accreditation Form prior to the event.

LTA Transgender and Non-Binary Individuals Policy

Implications of the LTA Transgender and Non-Binary Individuals Policy – Effective 1 January 2025

As per ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ REG 4.3.1, if the National Governing body of the sport where the activity is taking place has a policy on transgender participation in sport this shall be followed.

. For the 2024-25 season, this has the following implications for the ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Tennis Championships:

  • Individual Championships: The Singles, Doubles, Wheelchair Tennis Singles, and Wheelchair Tennis Doubles events are all Specified Competition. The Doubles event for 2024-25 took place before the new policy was in effect, but the new policy applies to the Singles, Wheelchair Tennis Singles, and Wheelchair Tennis Doubles events, with eligibility for these as per points 12–15 of the LTA Transgender and Non-Binary Individuals Policy.
  • Team Championships: The Team Championships are Specified Competition. However, with these programmes having started for the 2024-25 season with the previous LTA Policy and Guidance on Trans People Playing Tennis in place at the time, individuals who were eligible for the ‘Women’s’ programme prior to 1 January 2025 shall remain eligible to compete in this programme until the end of the 2024-25 season and no individuals shall be permitted to compete in both the ‘Men’s’ and ‘Women’s’ programme this season.

For the 2025-26 season, the LTA’S new Transgender and Non-Binary Policy shall apply to all ¹û¶³ÊÓÆµ Tennis Championships.
